Historical people and documents.

There are many people and documents that lead to how our rights and freedoms (and democracy) work today.

There are a lot of people who contributed to our rights and freedoms. We will be focussing our attention on a special group of women known as the Famous Five.

There were also lots of documents that helped shape democracy as we see it today. We will talk about, Le Grande Paix De Montreal, the Magna Carte, the Royal Proclamation and the Bill of Rights.

      These documents are very important to us because they completely changed how we look at rights, freedoms and democracy. The first document we will discuss will be the Magna Carta.
